The MG4 is a compact rear-wheel-drive electric hatchback that has been a value benchmark in Australia. For 2026 it gets a mid-cycle refresh with an upgraded interior and a simplified lineup: the single-motor Essence 64 and the hot dual-motor XPOWER all-wheel drive. MG discontinued the previous 51kWh Excite and 77kWh Long Range variants, and now markets the range on keen drive-away pricing.
